Confused about CE Requirements and Renewal?

10/10/2018

Can you believe that it is almost the end of the licensing cycle? We can’t either! Now that we are coming to the final weeks, CE Marketplace has been flooded with questions from licensees. We wanted to take this opportunity to clear up some confusion about CE requirements and license renewal.

  • As a licensee, you will want to complete your remaining continuing education requirements before the October 31, 2018, renewal deadline.
  • Please remember when filling out your licensing application, you are verifying that you have completed your CE requirements prior to filing for renewal.
  • Remember, the licensing cycle year starts on November 1st and ends on October 31st annually. Beginning November 1, 2018, the State will only recognize CE deadlines based on the licensing cycle, NOT calendar year.
  • Are you confused with CE requirements for the upcoming licensing cycle? Let us help! You will want to complete 18 hours of CE within the three-year licensing cycle. A minimum of TWO hours of legal continuing education is required each year of the licensing cycle. On the plus side, the additional 12 hours can be completed anytime between November 1, 2018, and October 31, 2021, and can be made up of elective or legal credits for the additional 12 hours.
